Cowgirl Basketball Adds In-State Standout

STILLWATER, Okla. — Oklahoma State's women's basketball team has signed in-state product Lauren Fields it was announced today by Cowgirl head coach Jim Littell.
A product of Shawnee High School, Fields averaged 15.4 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game while helping the Wolves reach the Class 6A state tournament last season. The 5-9 guard was named the Suburban Conference Player of the Year as well as an all-state selection by the Oklahoma Girls Basketball Coaches Association and the Oklahoma Coaches Association.
Additionally, she was named to the USA TODAY High School Sports' All-USA Oklahoma Girls Basketball Team.
Fields represented the United States as a member of the 2018 Adidas Girls USA Select Team in Italy and was one of five players from the state to be named a McDonald's All-American Game nominee.
The addition of Fields brings the number of Cowgirl newcomers to six with Kennedi Jackson, Sara Rodrigues and Bigue Sarr casting their lot in the fall and Natasha Mack and Micah Dennis signing this past spring.
