Oklahoma State Places 41 On 2018-19 Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team

STILLWATER – A total of 41 Oklahoma State student-athletes across 13 sports were named to the 2018-19 Academic All-Big 12 Rookie team, which honors freshmen across the league for their classroom accolades.
The Cowboy and Cowgirl track & field and cross country teams led the way with 11 selections, while five wrestlers earned a spot on the squad. Barbara Zagonyi from the Cowgirl soccer squad was nominated with perfect 4.00 GPA.
A total of 494 student-athletes from across the conference earned a spot on the team, which is restricted to new, first-time/incoming freshmen that have completed 24 semester hours of non-remedial coursework and achieved a cumulative GPA of at least 3.00.
Additionally, the student-athlete must have participated in at least one of their team's scheduled contests and must have been a member of their respective team for their sport's entire NCAA Championship segment.
The Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team was introduced in the 2012-13 academic year.
