May 07, 2019 | Cowboy Football
STILLWATER, Okla. – Clarence Leon Tully, a former football player on Oklahoma A&M's undefeated national championship team of 1945, passed away on May 1, 2019 at the age of 92.
A native of Shawnee, Okla., Tully was born January 17, 1927. He was one of only a handful of living players honored at Oklahoma State in 2016 when the national championship trophy was presented. He was inducted into the Shawnee High Football Hall of Fame in September 2017.
After his football career, which included two years as an A&M lineman, Tully worked in the oil field and the advertising business. He carried his love for OSU athletics throughout his life and was a season ticket holder for years with a sign reserving his parking spot outside Boone Pickens Stadium.
Services were held Monday, May 6, at St. Luke's United Methodist Church in Oklahoma City.
