May 01, 2019 | Cowboy Golf
INDIANAPOLIS – Oklahoma State's men's golf team will begin its quest for the program's 12th NCAA title as the top seed at the NCAA Louisville Regional, which will be contested at the University of Louisville Golf Club, it was announced tonight on the Golf Channel.
The top-ranked Cowboys enter postseason action as the defending NCAA champions and fresh off a victory at the Big 12 Championship last weekend. OSU will be one of 13 teams in action at the par-71, 7,217-yard layout.
Last year, head coach Alan Bratton's squad won the NCAA Columbus Regional, which was the program's third regional title in a row and its fourth in the past five years. Overall, the Cowboys have 13 regional titles, more than any program in the country.
Six 54-hole regional tournaments will be conducted May 13-15. Thirteen teams and 10 individuals not on those teams will compete at each of three regionals while the other three regionals will have 14 teams and five individuals not on those teams. The low five teams and the low individual not on those teams from each regional will advance to the finals.
Team and individual medalist titles will be decided May 24-29 at Blessings Golf Club in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The University of Arkansas is the host institution for the 2019 championships.
