Cowboys Third At Thunderbird Collegiate

Day 1 Results
PHOENIX — Oklahoma State's men's golf team posted a 36-hole total of 3-under 565 at the ASU Thunderbird Collegiate on Friday to stand in third place at Papago Golf Course.
Tournament host Arizona State finished the day with a 13-under total of 555 and nine shots clear of the field at the par-71, 7,333-yard layout. Texas posted a 564 total to finish the day in second place. After opening with a 291 during its first round, OSU rallied with a 10-under 274, the low round of the afternoon, to jump seven spots on the leaderboard.
Arizona State's Chun An Yu grabbed the individual lead with a 9-under total of 133.
OSU sophomore Matthew Wolff carded rounds of 70 and 67 for a 137 total to share second place with Marquette's Oliver Farrell.
Freshman Aman Gupta posted scores of 70 and 72 to finish tied for 19th place at 142, while senior Zach Bauchou was a stroke back and tied for 23rd place at 143 with rounds of 76 and 67.
Senior Hayden Wood's scores of 77 and 68 tied him for 35th place at 145.
Sophomore Austin Eckroat posted a 151 total, which included scores of 75 and 76, to stand in a tie for 70th place.
A pair of Cowboys are competing individually. Freshman Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen posted scores of 71 and 72 to stand at 143, tying him for 23rd place. Junior Ferdinand Müller opened with a 71 and followed with a 77 to finish at 148 and tied for 56th place.
