STILLWATER - Oklahoma State won its third game of the spring exhibition season Saturday as the Cowgirls defeated SMU, 2-0, at Neal Patterson Stadium.

Grace Yochum and Jaci Jones netted the OSU goals, while Dani Greenlee and Hannah Warner combined for the shutout in goal as the Cowgirls improved to 3-0-0 this spring.

With just over 17 minutes left in the opening half, Camy Huddleston was fouled outside the penalty box to give OSU a free kick from the right side of the field near the end line. Kim Rodriguez delivered a low ball to the near post, and Yochum darted in to score as the Cowgirls took a 1-0 lead. The goal marked Yochum's third of the spring season.

OSU sealed the win with a late goal when, with 23 seconds remaining, Jones was tripped up in the box for a penalty. Jones would step up and bury the penalty kick to provide the final 2-0 margin.

The Cowgirls return to action Saturday when they host Tulsa at 4 p.m.
