Postgame Notes
- Oklahoma State dropped just its second matchup in Gallagher-Iba Arena in its last 16 matchups against Texas Tech. The Cowboys still lead the overall series 44-21 and are 23-5 in Gallagher-Iba Arena after tonight.
- The Cowboys lost by 28 points tonight, which is the second largest home loss since 1934-35. It is also the seventh worse deficit in a loss in a Big 12 game.
- Texas Tech went on a 12-2 run early in the first half to extend its lead to as much as eight points. The Red Raiders would go on another run of 9-0 that would bury the Cowboys in a 14-point hole. The Texas Tech lead got as large as 21 points in the first half.
- The 44 points scored by Texas Tech in the first half was the most points OSU has allowed in a first half this year and the second most OSU has allowed in either half this year. The 21-point halftime deficit is the second largest all time in Gallagher-Iba Arena.
- Oklahoma State did not score until a Lindy Waters jumper with 13:57 left in the second half. Texas Tech went on a 26-2 run that stretched between the first and second half.
Player Notes
- Cameron McGriff has scored in double-figures in 11 of his last 14 games. He scored 18 points tonight and pulled down 11 rebounds, which gave him his seventh double-double of the season.
- Yor Anei has blocked at least one shot in 20 of OSU's 24 games, including eight games with at least three blocks. He had two blocks tonight.
- Lindy Waters leads the Big 12 in free throw percentage at 93.8 percent (60-64).
- Lindy Waters has made 25 of his last 45 (.556) 3-point attempts over the last nine games.
- Thomas Dziagwa has hit at least one 3-pointer in every game but one this season. He hit one today.
- Tanner Taylor made his first appearance in a Cowboy uniform tonight. He had two shot attempts from three and knocked one down in his first three minutes with the Cowboys.
