The 2019 baseball starts this week, with Oklahoma State opening play at UT Rio Grande Valley on Friday. The Cowboys are ranked as high as 16th in the preseason national polls.

OSU is coming off a 31-26-1 season in which the Cowboys finished second in the Big 12 Conference and earned an NCAA Regional berth for the sixth consecutive year under head coach Josh Holliday.

Jake Lyons, Junior, 6-5, 282, RHP
John Kelly, Freshman, 5-11, 173, RHP

Brayden Belden, Junior, 6-1, 209, LHP
- Spent last two seasons at Seminole State JC
- Was 3-1 with three saves in 18 relief appearances as a sophomore
- Also posted 52 strikeouts in 37 2/3 innings of work
- Played for former OSU great Brad Gore at Chickasha High School
Jake Lyons, Junior, 6-5, 282, RHP
- Starred for two seasons at Weatherford JC
- Went 16-5 with 223 strikeouts in 168 innings pitched in JUCO career
- Was 8-2 with a 3.14 ERA and 104 strikeouts in 80 1/3 innings as a sophomore
- Freshman season saw him post an 8-3 record and 119 strikeouts in 87 2/3 innings
- Drafted by San Diego in the 22nd round of the 2017 Major League Baseball Draft
John Kelly, Freshman, 5-11, 173, RHP
- Was a Perfect Game Honorable Mention All-American and All-Northeast Region First Team selection in 2018
- Racked up 62 strikeouts and a 1.08 ERA in 39 innings as a senior at Rutherford High School
- Attended same high school as OSU pitching coach Rob Walton
Nate Peterson, Freshman, 5-10, 191, LHP
- 2018 Perfect Game Honorable Mention All-American and All-Central Region Second Team
- Turned in a 0.49 ERA and had 87 strikeouts 42 innings as a senior at Lakeville North High School
- Had one game in which he racked up 20 strikeouts
