December 05, 2019 | Cowgirl Soccer
AUSTIN, Texas — Oklahoma State junior Hannah Webb has been named a 2019 CoSIDA Academic All-American by the College Sports Information Directors of America.
Webb was named to the Academic All-America Third Team and becomes the seventh Cowgirl soccer student-athlete in program history and first since 2016 to earn Academic All-America status from CoSIDA.
"I am so proud that Hannah has been named an Academic All-American — the amount of hard work, discipline and dedication that Hannah shows on the field and in the classroom is a testament to the kind of person she is," said OSU head coach Colin Carmichael. "For her to be recognized by CoSIDA is a huge honor, and she is very deserving. I'm very excited to have Hannah back as one of our team leaders for one more season."
A defender from Mansfield, Texas, Webb is majoring in mathematics and carries a 4.00 grade point average. She is a two-time Academic All-Big 12 First Team honoree.
Webb helped the Cowgirls capture the 2019 Big 12 Conference regular season championship and advance to the second round of the NCAA Women's Soccer Championship en route to a 16-3-3 record.
From her wingback spot, Webb played in 19 games, starting 17, and was part of a unit that posted 10 shutouts while she also tallied a career-high three assists.
Webb's selection marks the 88th time an OSU student-athlete has been named a CoSIDA Academic All-American, and she is the 40th OSU female student-athlete to achieve the honor.
