:: Chuba Hubbard entered the game leading the nation in rushing yards and rushing yards per game. He added 158 rushing yards to bring his season total to 2,094. He is the 32nd individual to record a 2,000-yard rushing season in FBS history and the second in OSU history only to Barry Sanders.

:: Hubbard's total ranks as the 18th-best individual season rushing total in college football history.

:: OSU's 97-yard touchdown drive in the first quarter is the longest touchdown drive in Texas Bowl history and OSU's longest drive of the season.

:: Braydon Johnson's 42-yard touchdown catch and 57-yard catch in the first quarter marked his fifth and sixth catches of at least 40 yards this season.
