Postgame Quotes: Oklahoma State vs SyracuseÂ
Oklahoma State University Head Coach Mike Boynton
On coming home to New York:
"Really proud of our team. I don't think we played our best game. I thought we played aggressively and I thought
we competed really hard for forty minutes. That's (Syracuse) one of the best coached teams in the country, no
doubt about it. I thought that was an NCAA type environment. Two teams from power conferences who don't know a
lot about each other at the moment. I'm really proud of how our guys not only competed but followed the game
plan. Coming home was cool, getting the win was even better."
On Isaac's growth as a player:
"He was terrific. That kids grown a lot, went from a I don't know two star three star kid coming out of high school
signed with Fresno State, lucky for us a coaching change happened and we know him well enough and he's close
enough he wants to take a chance to play in the Big 12. He started every game for us as a freshman last year,
really learned how to play the position. Transitioned to USA basketball where he played with the 19 under team that
won a gold metal in Greece. I'm really proud of the way I have watched him grow up and be a leader for our team."
Oklahoma State Guard Isaac Likekele
On scoring a career high tonight:
"It means a lot. I can't really just dwell on, but I kind of knew it was going to happen because of my mom, she told
me I was going to have a good game. She prayed for me a lot. I feel like as long as I keep God first I can play great
every night"
Oklahoma State Forward Yor Anel:
On playing against a zone:
"Coach mentioned to be aggressive against the zone. You can't play on your heels because they got really long
players and a lot of length and athleticism so attack the zone. Actually be a player and not a passer"
