Oklahoma State Bowl Streak Extends To 14 Straight Years

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State football brings us together. Whether it's 55,000 strong inside Boone Pickens Stadium or taking our show on the road, Cowboy football allows us to gather and represent America's Brightest Orange in full voice.
For the 14th consecutive season, Oklahoma State fans have the opportunity to watch the Cowboys play in a bowl game. It's a point of pride because OSU's is the ninth-longest active bowl streak in the Football Bowl Subdivision.
A look at the nation's longest active bowl streaks entering the 2019 season:
1. Virginia Tech - 27*
2. Georgia - 22*
3. Oklahoma - 20*
4. LSU - 19*
5. Boise State - 17*
Wisconsin - 17*
7. Alabama - 15*
8. Clemson - 14*
9. Oklahoma State - 13*
10. Stanford - 10
Texas A&M - 10*
* Clinched bowl eligibility again this year
Perhaps the most enjoyable part of the bowl experience for Oklahoma State fans over the years has been the fact that the Cowboys usually win. OSU has won each of its last three bowl games and four of its last five. Among all FBS teams with a minimum of 20 bowl appearances, OSU's 65.5 winning percentage ranks second.
With two regular season games remaining on the schedule, the Cowboys are still jockeying for bowl position, so the destination is unclear at this point. Here's what we do know about the Big 12's bowl tie-ins - if the Big 12 champion is not selected to compete in the College Football Playoff, then that team will play in the Allstate Sugar Bowl. The CFP can choose additional Big 12 schools to fill other New Year's Six bowl games as well. Once the CFP has filled its bowl slots, Big 12 bowl partners will make selections from the remaining bowl eligible teams. Following is the order of selection. A bowl may pick from any available team when it reaches its spot in the selection order.
Valero Alamo – Dec. 31 in San Antonio (vs. Pac-12)
Camping World – Dec. 28 in Orlando (vs. ACC)
Academy Sports + Outdoors Texas – Dec. 27 in Houston (vs. SEC)
AutoZone Liberty – Dec. 31 in Memphis (vs. SEC)
Cheez-It – Dec. 27 in Phoenix (vs. Pac-12)
SERVPRO First Responder – Dec. 30 in Dallas (vs. AAC)
Bowl announcements will take place on Sunday, Dec. 8. In the meantime, fans can put in their requests for bowl tickets by clicking HERE and can visit okstatefantravel.com if interested in travel packages.
