Cowgirl Soccer Duo Tabbed Big 12’s Best

IRVING, Texas – Oklahoma State had a pair of award winners for the final week of the Big 12 Conference season as Julia Lenhardt was named the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week and Dani Greenlee collected Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week honors.
The Cowgirl duo helped Oklahoma State post its seventh consecutive win, a 3-0 victory over Baylor in the regular season finale, which gave OSU the Big 12 regular season championship, the program's seventh overall title and second in the last three years.
Lenhardt, a senior midfielder, had three points on the night as she recorded an assist on OSU's first goal before smashing a shot from 35-yards into the back of the net to give the Cowgirls a 2-0 lead less than three minutes later.
Greenlee continued her impressive play in goal as she racked up a career-high eight saves against the Bears en route to her fifth shutout of the season. The junior faced 16 shots on the night and tallied four saves in each half.
Lenhardt and Greenlee are the fourth and fifth Cowgirls to earn weekly awards from the conference in 2019, joining Olyvia Dowell (Big 12 Freshman of the Week, Aug. 27), Kim Rodriguez (Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week, Sept. 10) and Grace Yochum (Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week, Sept. 24 & Oct. 22).
