October 30, 2019 | Cowgirl Soccer
IRVING, Texas — Twelve Oklahoma State student-athletes have been named to the 2019 Academic All-Big 12 Soccer Team, with the entire dozen earning first-team honors.
Highlighting the list are a trio of Cowgirls in Camy Huddleston, Hannah Webb and Barbara Zágonyi who were nominated with a 4.0 grade point average, as well as four OSU student-athletes — Elise Hawn, Jaci Jones, Julia Lenhardt and Kirsten Siragusa — who earned Academic All-Big 12 First Team accolades for the third time in their respective careers.
Also earning spots on the Academic All-Big 12 First Team were Cowgirl juniors Madeline Blasko and Dani Greenlee and sophomores Ally Jackson, Hannah Warner and Grace Yochum.
This marks the sixth consecutive year that OSU has had 10 or more student-athletes named to the Academic All-Big 12 First Team.
The 2019 Academic All-Big 12 Soccer Team includes 143 honorees, with 17 holding 4.0 GPAs. The first team is comprised of 110 selections, with 33 making up the second team.
First-team members consist of those who have maintained a 3.20 or better GPA, while the second-team selections hold a 3.00-3.19 GPA.
To qualify, student-athletes must maintain a 3.00 GPA or higher either cumulative or the two previous semesters and must have participated in 20 percent of their team's scheduled contests. Freshmen and transfers are not eligible in their first year of academic residence. Senior student-athletes who have participated for a minimum of two years and meet all the criteria except percent of participation are also eligible.
