October 22, 2019 | Cowgirl Cross Country & Track
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State's Molly Born was named women's Big 12 Runner of the Week for her performance at the Pre-National Invitational in Terre Haute, Indiana, over the weekend.
Born finished eighth in a field that included 64 teams in total, 10 of which were ranked among the top-30 nationally in the USTFCCCA National Cross Country Poll. Born's time of 20:24.6 clocked in at ninth-fastest all-time on OSU's 6K list and marked her second consecutive top-10 finish.
This marks the first career conference runner of the week honor for Born and marks the second time this season an OSU runner has been recognized. Ashenafi Hatte took home the honor after finishing third at the Chile Pepper Festival in Fayetteville, Arkansas, on October 5.
The Pokes travel to Waco, Texas, for the Big 12 Championships on November 2.
