Former Cowgirl Chase Ealey Advances to Shot Put Final in Doha

STILLWATER - Former Cowgirl and 2016 NCAA runner-up Chase Ealey advanced to the IAAF World Championships final in the shot put on Wednesday morning in Doha, Qatar.

In July, Ealey won a national title in the shot put at the USATF Outdoor Championships to earn her spot on Team USA. Ealey advanced to tomorrow afternoon's final with a throw of 18.35 meters and will seek a medal out of the field of 12. The women's shot put final is scheduled to take place at 2:35 p.m. CT and can be watched live on NBCSN and NBC Sports Gold.

In the afternoon, 2016 NCAA Champion Nick Miller competed in the hammer throw final. The former Cowboy threw the hammer 75.31 meters in a 10th-place finish while representing Great Britain.

2014 NCAA runner-up Shadrack Kipchirchir will also be representing Team USA in Doha, running the 10,000 meters at noon on Sunday. Kipchirchir owns the third-fastest 10,000 meter time in American history, coming in his ninth-place finish at the 2017 IAAF World Championships in London.
