Cowgirl Soccer’s Yochum Honored By Big 12

IRVING, Texas – Oklahoma State's Grace Yochum was named the Big 12 Conference Co-Freshman of the Week today by the league office. She shared the honor with Baylor's Giuliana Cunningham.
Yochum scored a pair of goals last weekend to help lead the Cowgirls to two road wins as OSU extended its winning streak to five games and capped non-conference play with an 8-1-0 record.
A midfielder from Houston, both of Yochum's goals were credited as game winners. In Friday's match at Creighton, her header in the 27th minute provided OSU's first goal in the 2-0 victory, and she followed that with a score in the 76th minute on Sunday at UMKC to lift the Cowgirls to a 2-1 win.
Yochum and the Cowgirls open Big 12 Conference play Friday night at Kansas State before a Sunday showdown against Kansas in Lawrence.
