KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Oklahoma State senior forward Haley Woodard is one of 45 players on the 2018 Women's MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List, it was announced today by the Missouri Athletic Club.
The Hermann Trophy is the most prestigious individual award in college soccer and is presented annually to the most outstanding male and female players of the year.
Woodard became the fourth All-American in OSU soccer history in 2017 when she was selected to the United Soccer Coaches third team, and she was also the Big 12 Conference Offensive Player of the Year as a junior.
Woodard's 2017 season saw her lead the Cowgirls with eight goals while also adding three assists as she helped OSU to a 16-4-3 record, a Big 12 regular season championship and an appearance in the second round of the NCAA Women's Soccer Championship.
An All-Big 12 First Team selection, Woodard led the Big 12 with four goals and nine points a year ago in conference-only games. Entering her final collegiate season, Woodard has recorded 17 goals and five assists in 52 career games.
The MAC Hermann Trophy Watch Lists are compiled by members of the United Soccer Coaches Men's and Women's NCAA Division I All-America Committees. Fifteen semifinalists will be named near the end of the college season based on voting by NCAA Division I coaches, and from those candidates, three finalists will be placed on the final ballot; this year's winners will be announced on Jan. 4, 2019.
