Hayden Wood Named All-America Scholar

NORMAN, Okla. — Oklahoma State's Hayden Wood was honored for his work in the classroom this week as the rising senior was named a Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar by the Golf Coaches Association of America.
To be eligible for All-America Scholar status, an individual must be a junior or senior academically, compete in at least three full years at the collegiate level, participate in 50 percent of his team's competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 76.0 and maintain a cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2.
A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university.
The recognition comes on the heels of Wood's victory at the Oklahoma Golf Association State Amateur Championship last week.
This past season, the Edmond, Okla., native was a first-team Academic All-Big 12 selection. On the course, Wood had a runner-up showing at The Carmel Cup and a fourth-place finish at the Amer Ari Invitational.
