Alex Norén Rallies To Win HNA Open De France

Paris — Former Oklahoma State All-American Alex Norén birdied two of his final three holes at Le Golf National on Sunday en route to a come-from-behind victory at the HNA Open de France.
After entering the final round seven shots off the lead, Norén posted a closing 67 to finish at 7-under 277 and one shot clear of Russell Knox, Julian Suri and Chris Wood.
The victory mirrored Norén's last, a triumph at the 2017 BMW Championship, where he closed with a 62 to make up a seven-shot deficit at Wentworth Club.
Norén now has 10 European Tour victories to his credit, has won at least once in each of the past four seasons and has seven total victories during that span.
The victory also came at the site of this year's Ryder Cup. Norén is hoping to make his debut at the event this September.
"If I would be on the team it would mean a lot. You get good memories from here. The first two years I came here I thought I could never win around here and the last three years I've had good results," Norén said.
