Four Oklahoma State Cross Country and Track and Field Athletes Honored as Google Cloud Academic All-Americans

STILLWATER – One Cowboy and three Cowgirls were recognized as Google Cloud Academic All-Americans as voted on by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
Noah Gade, Stephanie Ferrante, Emily Hart and Ariane Ballner were honored on Thursday as Academic All-Americans. Oklahoma State led the Big 12 in Academic All-Americans with four, while no other school boasted more than one.
Gade was the lone male athlete to be honored for the Cowboys. He earned first-team All-Academic honors. The Quantitative Financial Economics major posted a 4.00 GPA. Gade is a three-time first team Academic All-Big 12 honoree, being awarded in 2014, 2016 and 2018.
Three Cowgirls earned honors, including two first team honorees. Ferrante and Hart made the first team and Big 12 champion Ballner was a second-team honoree.
Ferrante earned her second consecutive CoSIDA Academic All-American honor. In the 2016-17 campaign, she earned third-team honors. Ferrante, an OSU Alumni Association Senior of Significance, also earned a 4.00 GPA whilst double majoring in biochemistry and microbiology/cell and molecular biology. Earlier this year, she was awarded the Dr. Prentice Gautt Postgraduate Scholarship and the Gerald Lage Award.
Emily Hart, a fellow OSU Alumni Association Senior of Significance, earned first team Academic All-American honors as well. The senior earned a 4.00 GPA in Pre-Veterinary Animal Sciences. Hart is a two-time first team All-Academic Big 12 honoree, being awarded in 2017 and 2018.
Ariane Ballner collected a second team Academic All-American honor. The sophomore also earned a 4.00 GPA. She is studying Management and Marketing. This is her second academic honor this year. She earned first-team Academic All-Big 12 honors for her work off the track. Ballner is the reining Big 12 outdoor 1,500 meters champion.
