Simpson Collects All-Region Honors

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Oklahoma State's Colin Simpson has been named the 2018 ABCA/Rawlings All-Midwest Region First Team catcher, the American Baseball Coaches Association announced today.
ABCA/Rawlings All-Region First Team selections are nominated for ABCA/Rawlings All-America honors, with those being announced on June 16.
One of the Big 12 Conference's top sluggers as a junior this season, Simpson ranks among the national leaders in home runs with 18, which marked the most homers in a season by a Cowboy since 2008.
Simpson, who started all 58 games for OSU this season, finished the year with a .280 batting average while leading the Cowboys with 51 RBIs, 37 walks and a .578 slugging percentage. He was second on the club in hits (63), runs (48), and stolen bases (8).
