Football Season Opener Moved To Thursday

STILLWATER – Kickoff times have been set for each of Oklahoma State's three non-conference football games, it was announced today.
The season-opener against Missouri State has been moved to Thursday, August 30, will kick off at 7 p.m. CT and will be televised nationally by FS1. The Cowboys' Sept. 8 clash with South Alabama is also set for a 7 p.m. CT kickoff and will be televised on Fox Sports Net.
The non-conference finale against Boise State on Sept. 15 will kick at 2:30 p.m. CT and be televised on the ABC/ESPN family of networks.
The week one matchup with Missouri State marks the 11th time that OSU has played a Thursday night regular season game and is the eighth Thursday night game played in Stillwater. The Cowboys have won nine of their previous 10 regular-season Thursday night games, most recently handing Tulsa a 59-24 beating to kick off the 2017 campaign. OSU is 7-0-0 all-time against Missouri State, with the last meeting between the two schools resulting in a 40-23 Oklahoma State victory in 2014.
When the Cowboys face South Alabama in week two, it will mark the second meeting all-time between the two schools, with the first coming last season in Mobile, when OSU was a 44-7 winner over the Jaguars on their home field.
The week three tilt between the Cowboys and Broncos marks the first meeting between the two schools.
