Cowboy Golf Garners Postseason Awards

NORMAN, Okla. – Oklahoma State's men's golf team picked up multiple honors this week it was announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America.
OSU head coach Alan Bratton was named one of five finalists for the Dave Williams Award. The Williams Award honors the national coach of the year in Division I men's golf. Joining Bratton as finalists were Auburn's Nick Clinard, JT Higgins of Texas A&M, Oklahoma's Ryan Hybl and Vanderbilt's Scott Limbaugh.
A Dave Williams Award finalist last season, Bratton has led OSU to nine tournament victories in 12 events. The Cowboys other three finishes were third, fourth and a share of second. Oklahoma State was the unanimous No. 1 in the final regular season Bushnell Golfweek Coaches Poll.
Five Cowboys were named to the All-Central Region squad it was announced as well by the GCAA. Senior Kristoffer Ventura, junior Zach Bauchou, sophomore Viktor Hovland and freshmen Austin Eckroat and Matthew Wolff all received the honor.
Ventura's final campaign has been highlighted by a trio of top 10s, including co-medalist honors at the Big 12 Championship. Bauchou has six top 10s on the year and earned a runner-up finish at the NCAA Columbus Regional.
Hovland and Eckroat earned their first career victories this season, winning the Valspar Collegiate and the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate, respectively.
Wolff has tallied four runner-up finishes during his first season in Stillwater.
