Cowgirls Victorious In Final Match Of Spring

DALLAS -- Oklahoma State concluded its spring exhibition season with a 2-1 win Saturday at SMU.
Charmé Morgan and Marlo Zoller recorded goals for the Cowgirls, who finished the spring with a 5-2 record.
OSU led 1-0 at intermission thanks to goalkeeper Dani Greenlee keeping the Mustangs off the scoreboard and Morgan's score in the 18th minute. After taking a pass from Taylor Olson, Morgan delivered a shot from 15-yards out that deflected off an SMU defender and past the goalie into the net.
SMU quickly recorded the equalizer just four minutes into the second half, and the game remained tied until the 10:49 mark. That's when Zoller picked off an SMU pass and created a one-on-one opportunity against the Mustangs' goalie. Zoller won the battle as she converted a shot low to the back post for the goal.
The Cowgirls were able to withstand a late flurry by the home team, including getting a key defensive play from Jaci Jones as the midfielder headed a shot off the line to prevent a score.
