Cowboys Head To Florida For Valspar Collegiate

PALM CITY, Fla. – Oklahoma State's men's golf team will look to keep its perfect spring record for this season in tact when it begins play this weekend at the Valspar Collegiate Invitational at Floridian National Golf Club.
To date, OSU has won all four of its starts this spring and has won five in a row dating back to its last event of the fall slate. Overall, head coach Alan Bratton's squad has won six of its seven tournaments this year.
The Cowboys, who enter play this week as the top-ranked team in the country, will be one of 12 teams in action at the par-71, 7,114-yard layout. The 54-hole event will consist of 18 holes each day from Sunday through Tuesday.
The Cowboys finished third at last year's tournament and were led by senior Kristoffer Ventura's fourth-place showing.
This week's starting five will consist of Ventura, junior Zach Bauchou, sophomore Viktor Hovland and freshmen Austin Eckroat and Matthew Wolff. Juniors Nick Heinen and Hayden Wood will compete individually.
