Cowgirls Close Regular Season With 85-72 Win Over TCU

STILLWATER, Okla. – Oklahoma State's women's basketball team capped its regular season with an 85-72 win over TCU on Senior Night in front of 1,563 fans inside Gallagher-Iba Arena.
The Cowgirls improved to 20-9 overall and 11-7 in Big 12 play, while the Horned Frogs fell to 18-11 and 9-9. The win gave OSU the 16th 20-win campaign in program history and its sixth under head coach Jim Littell. Additionally, the Cowgirls' 11 Big 12 wins matched the best total in program history.
Both teams got out of the gate quickly before TCU eventually took a 25-24 lead at the end of the first after shooting 69 percent in the quarter.
In the second, OSU held the Horned Frogs scoreless for more than three minutes while running out to a 36-27 lead. However, TCU answered with 10 of the game's next 14 points to trail by just three heading into the final 10 minutes.
TCU tied the game at 44 apiece with 6:45 remaining in the third quarter before the Cowgirls got back-to-back 3-pointers from freshman Braxtin Miller and senior Mandy Coleman. Graduate transfer Loryn Goodwin added a steal, layup and free throw to quickly build the OSU lead back to nine at 53-44.
OSU quickly pushed the lead to 13 at the start fourth, but TCU would not go away, trimming the deficit back to five with 5:32 to go.
Coleman rattled home another trey with three minutes to go to push the lead back to double figures for good at 80-70.
Goodwin led all scorers with her 30 points, her fifth 30-point outing of the year, and added 11 rebounds, five assists and four steals.
Miller finished with 20 points, eight rebounds and six assists, while senior Kaylee Jensen logged her 45th career double-double, finishing with 18 points and 13 rebounds.
