Cowboys Add Four Standouts

STILLWATER, Okla. — Oklahoma State's men's golf team has signed four standouts to National Letters of Intent it was announced by Cowboy head coach Alan Bratton.
Hazen Newman, Brian Stark, Dillon Stewart and Rayhan Thomas all cast their lot with the Cowboys and will join the program next fall.
Newman, a native of Las Vegas who attends Arbor High School, was sixth this past fall at the Ping Invitational at Karsten Creek and also finished seventh at the AJGA Junior at Big Sky. He was the 2018 Nevada State Amateur Championship runner-up and was runner-up at the 2018 Callaway Golf Junior Championship.
In 2018, Newman was tabbed as an honorable mention AJGA All-American.
A native of Kingsburg, Calif. and product of Central Valley Christian, Stark has four AJGA titles to his credit and was 13th this past fall at the Ping invitational at Karsten Creek. He finished fourth at the 2018 Western Junior Championship and was fourth at the AJGA Junior at Superstition. Stark finished eighth at the Ping Heather Farr Classic and won both the Northern California Junior Championship and ClubCorp Mission Hills Desert Junior in 2017.
He was an honorable mention AJGA All-American in 2018.
Stewart hails from Fort Collins, Colo. and Fossil Ridge High School. He won the 2018 AJGA Junior at Big Sky and also won the 2018 Junior Americas Cup and he 2018 AJGA Hale Irwin Colorado Junior. Stewart was runner-up at the 2018 Colorado Junior Amateur Championship and ninth at the 2018 Colorado Junior PGA Championship.
Thomas, a native of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, has reached as high as No. 13 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking and is the No.1 amateur in the United Arab Emirates. In 2018, he was runner-up at the Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship and finished eighth at the World Amateur Team Championship. Thomas was runner-up at the Dubai Creek Open in 2017. In 2016, he won the Dubai Creek Open, a professional event, and had top 10s at the Golf Citizen Classic third and Shaikh Maktoum Dubai Open where he was ninth.
Thomas won the 2016 Qatar Open Amateur Championship.
