Cowboys in the NFL: Week 16

STILLWATER - As the NFL regular season nears its conclusion, several former Oklahoma State stars continued to help their respective teams find success. Here's a look at some of the highlights from Week 16:
Seahawks running back Chris Carson was again featured in a starring role within Seattle's offense, as he racked up 116 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 27 carries in his team's 38-31 victory over the Chiefs Sunday night. It was Carson's first career multi-score game and brought his season total to 1,029 rushing yards.
Carson is the seventh NFL runner to cross the 1,000-yard plateau this season and he is the first former Cowboy to do so since Tatum Bell tallied 1,025 rushing yards with the Broncos in 2006.
Carson's teammate in the Pacific Northwest, rookie cornerback Tre Flowers, also continued to impress with the Seahawks.
Flowers notched three tackles in Seattle's victory over the AFC leaders, bringing his season total to 64 for the year. The converted safety has also defended six passes, forced three fumbles and recovered one in his first NFL campaign.
The Converse, Texas, native also took an opportunity to give a shoutout to his high school in Sunday night's starting lineup introductions.
Moving east, Vikings kicker Dan Bailey split the uprights on five kicks in Sunday's 27-9 victory over the Lions. Bailey made two field goals and all three PATs against Minnesota.
On the opposite sideline, Lions wide receiver Chris Lacy didn't enjoy the spoils of victory, but Sunday's contest was a special moment in the rookie's career, as it marked his first Sunday as a member of a 53-man roster. Lacy was promoted from the practice squad Saturday and could see his first on-field action in the NFL in the regular season finale this week.
