Postgame Notes - Oklahoma State Cowboys vs Charlotte 49ers
·       The Cowboys were led offensively by juniors Cameron McGriff (17 points, 6 rebounds & 2 assists), Thomas Dziagwa (15 points, 4 rebounds & 2 assists) and Lindy Waters (15 points, 3 rebounds & 1 assist).
·       This game began the 110th season of Oklahoma State basketball, and the Cowboys are now 85-25 (.773) in season-opening games. This was OSU's first season-opening loss since the 1993-94 season.
·       After a flagrant foul was called on Lindy Waters in the final five seconds of the game. Charlotte's Jon Davis made two free throws and then banked in a three with 0.6 on the clock to give the 49ers the win.
·       OSU gave up an 18-point halftime lead in the loss. This tied the biggest halftime lead conceded for a loss in OSU history.
·       Charlotte went on a 17-0 run in the second half to erase a majority of OSU's 18-point halftime lead and then to go on to win the game.
·       Charlotte ended the game on a 32-10 run over the last 8:52 in the second half.
·       OSU held Charlotte to 19 points in the first half. It was the first time since Feb. 8, 2016 against TCU that OSU held an opponent under 20 points in a first half.
 ·       Under Mike Boynton, OSU is now 16-6 when it enters halftime with a lead.
·       With today's loss, OSU is now 43-9 (82.7 percent) all-time against current members of Conference USA.
·       Thomas Dziagwa knocked down 5 three-pointers today, which tied a career-high for made threes in a game for him. He has now made 75 threes in his career.
·       Freshman Isaac Likekele logged 13 points, 4 assists and 3 rebounds in his career debut with the Cowboys.
·       Today was the first time the Cowboys have opened a season on the road since 1989.
·       Today's game was the second meeting in history between the Cowboys and the 49ers. OSU is now 1-1 in the series.
·       OSU has now made at least one three-pointer in 585 consecutive games dating back to Jan. 13, 2001.
