What the Media Are Saying: Bedlam
November 10, 2018 | Cowboy Football
NORMAN, Okla. - The Oklahoma State football squad faces perhaps its toughest test of the season to date today, as the Cowboys take on No. 6/6 Oklahoma in the teams' annual Bedlam matchup. A look at what the media has been saying about the rivalry ahead of today's contest:
The Tulsa World's Mark Cooper centered on Cowboy linebacker Justin Phillips, and how a win Saturday in Norman would be a "full-circle" moment for the senior. Phillips is one of only a handful of Cowboys that were a part of the 2014 squad - the last OSU group to find victory on their Bedlam rivals' turf.Â
On the flip side, The Oklahoman featured sophomore wide receiver Tylan Wallace, who will see his first significant Bedlam action this weekend. Wallace has stolen headlines throughout the season, putting in a season matched only by some of the best wideouts in school history, such as former Biletnikoff Award winners James Washington and Justin Blackmon, as well as Dez Bryant.Â
The Oklahoman's Scott Wright also targeted Phillips as being a key factor in the Cowboys' potential success this weekend, writing that,"OSU's middle linebacker will be at the heart of the action, whether he's using his speed to pursue Kyler Murray, or his muscle against Trey Sermon."
Bedlam is set to kick-off inside Memorial Stadium at 2:30 p.m. CT on ABC.
