Cowboys in the NFL: Week 5

The Seattle tandem of running back Chris Carson and cornerback Tre Flowers continued to impress in the Pacific Northwest, with Carson notching his second straight 100-yard game on the ground and Flowers racking up at least six tackles for the fourth time this season. Carson is the first Seahawks running back to record at least 100 rushing yards in consecutive appearances since Marshawn Lynch did so late in the 2014 season.

Dolphins defensive tackle Vincent Taylor is another former Poke making waves as one of the league's promising young defenders. Taylor's form throughout the first quarter of the season has drawn plenty of eyes as he continues to display the same explosive talent that he showed throughout his time in Stillwater.Tre Flowers modeled his game after #LOB, then wound up in Seattle. Blocking kicks was one of Taylor's greatest assets as a Cowboy, and that skill has only grown as he builds his NFL resume. He blocked yet another field goal on Sunday to go along with a pair of tackles and received plenty of praise in the aftermath.

Another notable Poke performing in the pros is Vikings kicker Dan Bailey, who continues to settle in with his new team after eight seasons in Dallas. Bailey struggled a bit this week, but was still able to connect on three field-goal tries to help lift Minnesota to a 23-21 victory over the defending Super Bowl champion Eagles.Davon Godchaux and Vincent Taylor could be interior lynchpins for the Dolphins for the next 3 years or more. They are legit top 3 DTs at such a reasonable cost.

Some other players of note this week include Browns defensive end Emmanuel Ogbah and Jaguars defensive back Tyler Patmon. Ogbah continues to work his way into form after an early-season injury. He notched a season-high five tackles and recorded a pass break-up in a 12-9 victory over the Ravens. Patmon, meanwhile, was a solid contributor as Jacksonville's nickel corner for the second-straight week, as he racked up three tackles against the undefeated Chiefs just one week after a four-tackle outing against the Jets.IT'S GOOD!
