Cowboys Back In Texas For Royal Oaks Intercollegiate

CARROLLTON, Texas – A week after competing at the Big 12 Match Play tournament in Houston, Oklahoma State's men's golf team will head to Dallas this weekend for the Royal Oaks Intercollegiate at Maridoe Golf Club.
The top-ranked Cowboys will be looking to bounce back from their fourth-place showing at Houston Oaks last weekend. OSU will be one of 14 teams in action this week at the par-70, 7,008-yard layout.
Play will get underway on Monday with 36 holes beginning at 8:15 a.m. The final round will take place on Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. The tournament format will consist of each team's starting lineup being grouped together as a fivesome.
The Cowboys starting five will consist of seniors Zach Bauchou and Hayden Wood, junior Viktor Hovland and sophomores Austin Eckroat and Matthew Wolff.
Junior Ferdinand Müller will compete individually.
OSU has produced a pair of medalists at the event with Ian Davis being the first in 2012. The following year, Kevin Dougherty brought home top honors.
The Cowboys have won the event on three occasions, capturing the team title in 2012, 2013 and 2014.
