What the Media Are Saying: Kansas State
October 13, 2018 | Cowboy Football
MANHATTAN, Kan. - The Oklahoma State football team looks to bounce back from a disappointing loss to Iowa State with a road matchup against the always scrappy K-State Wildcats. Media from around the state have been discussing the Cowboys throughout the week, with several different topics arising. A look at some of what they had to say:
The Oklahoman's Scott Wright featured Kansas native Teven Jenkins as one of the players to spotlight this week, as he returns to his home state for the second time in three weeks. Much of Jenkins' family hadn't gotten to see him play since high school, and now competing just 60 miles west of his hometown, those same family members will get another crack at seeing the Cowboy do what he does best.
Wright also discussed some of the biggest talking points heading into this week, be it key matchups, the impact of a win or loss and so forth. One of those key matchups he zoned in on was how linebacker Calvin Bundage could adapt his game to best defend an always-disciplined K-State side.Â
The Tulsa World's Mark Cooper also spent the week previewing Saturday's contest, discussing the Pokes' injury issues, defensive struggles and what some of the solutions might be.
Saturday's matchup in Manhattan is an important one for the Cowboys, who still have plenty to play for this season. Kickoff against K-State is set for 11 a.m. CT on ESPNU.
