Cowgirls Stumble At Kansas State, 80-64

MANHATTAN, Kan. – Oklahoma State's women's basketball team suffered its second consecutive Big 12 road loss on Saturday with an 80-64 setback to Kansas State in front of 4,041 fans inside Bramlage Coliseum.
The 20th-ranked Cowgirls fell to 12-4 overall and 3-2 in league play with the loss.
The Wildcats (11-6, 3-3), who drilled 10 of their 21 3-point attempts in the contest, jumped out to a 7-0 lead and never trailed. The Cowgirls got within three at 14-11, before K-State closed the first period on an 11-4 run.
OSU got within five halfway through the second, but K-State kept the Cowgirls at arm's length, taking a 39-29 lead at the break.
Freshman Braxtin Miller drilled a 3-pointer at the 7:02 mark of the third to pull OSU within six at 46-40, but K-State answered with back-to-back treys and built the lead to as many as 22 in the quarter.
For the game, the Cowgirls hit just 33 percent of their shots, including a 3-of-18 effort from the 3-point line, and turned the ball over 17 times in the contest.
Senior Kaylee Jensen scored a game-high 24 points to go with 13 rebounds for her eighth double-double of the year. Classmate Mandy Coleman also logged a double-double, finishing with 10 points and 13 rebounds.
