STILLWATER – Oklahoma State scored a pair of late goals as the 19^th-ranked Cowgirls knocked off TCU, 2-0, Friday night at Garvey-Rosenthal Stadium.

Jaci Jones and Coumba Sow tallied scores for OSU, which improved to 9-1-2 on the season and 2-0-0 in Big 12 Conference play. The Cowgirls' nine wins matches their season total from each of the last two years.

TCU, which fell to 8-4-0 overall and 2-1-0 in the Big 12, had not allowed a second half goal this season until Jones put the Cowgirls on the scoreboard in the 79^th minute.

After receiving a pass from Haley Woodard just outside the top of the 18-yard box, Jones quickly blasted a shot to the near post to give OSU the lead. The goal was Jones' third of the season.

Just under seven minutes later, the Cowgirls doubled their lead when they were awarded a penalty kick after Camy Huddleston was taken down at the edge of the box at the 84:50 mark. Sow would step up and bury the PK opportunity for her second goal of the year and a 2-0 OSU lead.

TCU had a prime opportunity to close the gap at the 86:18 mark when it was awarded a penalty kick of its own, but Allison Ganter's shot went high and wide to keep the Horned Frogs off the board.

The Frogs outshot OSU by a 9-4 margin in the match, but goalie Michela Ongaro recorded four saves to post her second shutout of the season and 15^th of her career. Ongaro also helped defend against five TCU corner kicks, while the Cowgirls were held without a corner kick in the match.

OSU returns to action Sunday when it hosts Baylor in a match scheduled for a 1 p.m. start at the Cowgirl Soccer Complex.
