STILLWATER — The Oklahoma State men's and women's cross country squads came in at No. 9 and No. 22, respectively, in the week three United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association national rankings.
The Cowboys hold firm at No. 9 after passing Iona in the week two poll, and haven't competed since Sept. 1, which they went 2-1 in the Cowboy Preview.
OSU remains the highest-ranked Big 12 men's team in the nation, with Iowa State dropping to No. 14 and Texas receiving votes.
The Cowgirls fell behind Utah State, but are the second-highest ranked Big 12 squad in the country behind No. 17 Iowa State. The women remain ahead of Big 12 opponents Baylor and West Virginia, who are both receiving votes.
Both teams will compete this weekend at the 81st Cowboy Jamboree, with the women's orange 6K set to kick off at 9:15 a.m. and the men's orange 8K at 9:45 a.m.
