Cowboys in the NFL, Week Three
September 26, 2017 | Cowboy Football
STILLWATER – Several former members of the Oklahoma State football team saw action in week three of the NFL season this past weekend.
One of the most notable performances from this past weekend came from Browns defensive end Emmanuel Ogbah. The former OSU standout recorded a season-high six tackles and tallied his first sack of the year against the Colts on Sunday.
Also putting on a display this past weekend was Seahawks running back Chris Carson, who scored his first career touchdown during the third quarter of Seattle's matchup against the Titans. Carson has been one of the league's most impressive rookies during the first quarter of the season, as he ranks 14th in the league with 166 rushing yards thus far in 2017.
Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant also scored this week, as he powered through a pile of defenders to put Dallas up 14-7 midway through the third quarter against Arizona. It was Bryant's second touchdown in as many weeks after he scored against the Broncos in Denver last Sunday.
Bryant's teammate in Dallas, Dan Bailey, also put in a solid shift against the Cardinals, going 4-for-4 on PAT attempts to remain perfect for the season. Bailey has put all 12 of his kicks (5 FG, 7 PAT) through the uprights thus far in 2017.
Former OSU and current Dolphins defensive tackle Vincent Taylor impressed this weekend as well, as he recorded three tackles against the Jets on Sunday. Through two games, Taylor has already shown flashes of what made him an All-Big 12 performer during his time in Stillwater.
Away from the football field, Chargers offensive tackle Russell Okung made headlines this week after discussing his desire to be the first black owner in the NFL. Okung has always been involved with life away from football, as he has routinely invested in technology-based businesses, negotiated his own contracts and is currently helping with relief efforts in his hometown after Hurricane Harvey.
