Cross Country Squads Remain Among Top Three in Pre-Jamboree Regional Rankings

STILLWATER — In the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association week 3 regional rankings, the Oklahoma State men's and women's cross country teams remain in the top-three in the Midwest region for the second-straight week.
The Cowboys stuck at the top of the Midwest region for the 56th-consecutive week, which remains the longest active streak in the country.
OSU's last running was the Cowboy Preview on Sept. 1 at which the men went 2-1 after defeating Tulsa and OU, but falling to Arkansas.
The Cowgirls moved up to the No. 3 spot last week and stayed there this week, behind conference-rival Iowa State and Minnesota.
The Cowgirls are the second-highest ranked Big 12 women's team in the Midwest region, and they lead Kansas at No. 5 and Oklahoma at No. 7.
Both teams return to action Saturday, in the 81st running of the historic Cowboy Jamboree in Stillwater, Okla.
