Takeaways from the TCU Game

STILLWATER – The Oklahoma State football team moved to 3-1 Saturday after falling to TCU, 44-31. The Cowboys finished with 499 yards of offense and Mason Rudolph set a school record with his fifth consecutive 300-yard passing game. Some other notes on the game:

• Is 3-2 in its last five games against opponents ranked in the Associated Press poll.
• Is 15-11-2 all-time against TCU.
• Had its four-game winning streak against TCU in Stillwater snapped.
• Is 4-2 against TCU under Mike Gundy.
• Is 33-8 at Boone Pickens Stadium since the start of 2011.
• Is 63-40 in Big 12 Conference games under Mike Gundy, including a 44-19 mark since 2010.

Offense
Mason Rudolph | Quarterback | 6-5 | 230 | Senior | Rock Hill, SC
· Set a school record with his fifth consecutive 300-yard passing game, passing Brandon Weeden's previous record of four that was set in 2011.
· Became OSU's all-time leader in total offense, passing Zac Robinson. Rudolph has racked up 10,250 totals yards in his career, surpassing Robinson's 10,175.
· Matched a school record with his 16th career game with at least 300 passing yards, including all four games this season. He's surpassed 300 yards in each of his last five games and in seven of his last nine.
· Threw an 86-yard touchdown pass to James Washington in the first quarter that marked OSU's longest pass of the season. It was also the sixth-longest passing play in the country this season and matched the second-longest completion of Rudolph's career.
· Threw for 398 yards and two touchdowns in the game.
· Helped multiple receivers hit the 100-yard mark for the second straight week.
· Entered the game leading the nation in 30-plus yard passing plays with 12 and added an 86-yarder to Washington and a 36-yarder to McCleskey.
· Became the 11th player in Big 12 history to surpass 10,000 career passing yards.

· Finished with a game-high nine tackles.
· Had the highest total tackles in a game for any Cowboy in a game this season.
· Had a six-yard tackle for loss to help keep TCU from scoring on their final drive of the first half.
Special Teams
Zach Sinor| Punter | 5-10 | 223 | R-Junior | Castroville, TX
· Had a season-long 57-yard punt that helped flip the field at the end of the third quarter
· Punted three times with an average of 48.3 yards.
· Held without incident for Matt Ammendola's made field goal and all four of his made PAT attempts.
Newcomer
Dillon Stoner | Wide Receiver | 6-0 | 198 | R-Freshman | Tulsa, OK
· Caught a touchdown pass for the second consecutive game.
· His three catches for 39 yards all came at critical moments for the Cowboy offense.
· His first catch was a 14-yard touchdown catch in the third quarter that cut TCU's lead to 10 points. It was on a ball thrown through an incredibly tight window by Rudolph that found a falling Stoner in the middle of the end zone.
· Faced with a 2nd-and-25 on OSU's own 18-yard line and down two scores in fourth quarter, Rudolph hit Stoner on consecutive plays to pick up a first down and keep the Cowboys within reach. Stoner caught a 13-yard pass over the middle on second down and a 12-yard pass over the middle on third down to keep the drive alive.
