Oklahoma State opened the 2017 season with two wins on its home field last week, and the Cowgirls will return to action this week with a split weekend beginning Friday night in Norman against Oklahoma before returning home for a Sunday match against Creighton.

Weekend Highlights
- OSU opened the season with a 2-0 win over Loyola Friday night before returning to the pitch Sunday and knocking off UMKC by a 4-1 count.
- The Cowgirls' six goals were recorded by six different players as Charmé Morgan, Camy Huddleston, Julia Lenhardt, Marlo Zoller, Coumba Sow and Claire Gantzer each found the back of the net.
- Four of the OSU scorers notched the first goals of their careers, with Morgan, Huddleston, Sow and Gantzer each achieving that milestone.
- Ten different players made their OSU debuts over the weekend. The list included senior goalie Tanya de Souza, a transfer from Mississippi State, redshirt freshmen Amy Nguyen and Madeline Blasko and true freshmen Taylor Olson, Camy Huddleston, Kim Rodriguez, Hannah Webb, Morgan Wessling, Lauren Anderson and Elise Davis.
- Both Jaci Jones and Anna Beffer recorded multiple assists on the weekend, with Jones posting three and Beffer adding a pair. Marlo Zoller also had an assist.

- In its first two matches, OSU outshot its opponents by a 36-10 margin and owned a 21-5 edge on corner kicks. The Cowgirls lead the Big 12 in corners after opening weekend, and they scored a pair of goals directly off corners as Julia Lenhardt and Coumba Sow each headed in chances vs. UMKC.
- OSU's 13 corner kicks against Loyola tied for the seventh most in a single game in program history, just four shy of the record of 17 set in 2001.
- Jaci Jones already has three assists on the season after recording four in 20 games as a freshman last season. Jones assisted on both OSU goals in Friday's opener and added another on Sunday.
- Anna Beffer tallied a pair of assists against UMKC and now has 11 in her career. A year ago, she ranked eighth in the Big 12 with five assists.

- OSU travels to Norman on Friday for the first of two matches against Bedlam-rival Oklahoma this season. Friday's contest kicks off at 7 p.m. and is a non-conference affair. The two teams will meet again for their Big 12 Conference-opening match in Stillwater on Sept. 22.
- The Cowgirls are 20-8-3 all time against the Sooners, but OU has won the last four meetings, three of those via shutout.
- OU is 0-1-1 on the season, dropping its season opener at home to Arizona, 2-0, before battling SMU to a scoreless draw in Dallas on Sunday.
- Following the Bedlam clash, OSU returns home to host Creighton, who opened its season with a 3-0 loss at Iowa State last weekend. The Blue Jays face a test at Wisconsin Thursday before traveling to Stillwater for a Sunday contest set to kick off at noon.
