Stillwater, Okla. — Oklahoma State softball has been ranked 25th in the final 2017 ESPN.com/USA Softball Division I Top 25 poll, it was announced today. It is OSU's first finish in the final poll since the 2011 squad ranked eighth.

Oklahoma State finished the year with an RPI ranking of 28. The Cowgirls went 38-25 under head coach Kenny Gajewski. OSU closed out the season at the NCAA Gainesville Regional, where the Cowgirls upset No. 1 Florida.  Oklahoma State's 38 victories were the most since 2011 and its 12 conference wins are the most since 2010.

In two seasons at Oklahoma State, Gajewski has 70 wins and led the Cowgirls to back-to-back NCAA appearances. The 70 wins put Gajewski at No. 1 in Oklahoma State coaching history for most wins in the first two years.
