Cowboys Earn Academic Honors

IRVING, Texas – Five members of Oklahoma State's men's golf team were honored for their work in the classroom with the announcement of the league's Academic All-Big 12 Team on Tuesday.
Four Cowboys were named first-team selections with senior Zachary Olsen leading the way. The finance major, who was named the school's Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year on Monday, was joined on the first team by junior finance major Sam Stevens, junior management major Kristoffer Ventura and sophomore finance major Hayden Wood.
Sophomore Zach Bauchou, an entrepreneurship major, was one of five student-athletes named to the league's second team.
First-team members consist of those who have maintained a 3.20 or better GPA while the second-team selections hold a 3.00 to 3.19 GPA.
To qualify, student-athletes must maintain a 3.00 GPA or higher either cumulative or the two previous semesters and must have participated in 60 percent of their team's scheduled contests. Freshman and transfers are not eligible in their first year of academic residence. Senior student-athletes who have participated for a minimum of two years and meet all the criteria except participation are also eligible.
