2017 Oklahoma State Cowgirl Soccer Season Superlatives

• Oklahoma State finished 16-4-3, marking its highest win total since 2011 and the fifth highest in program history.
• The Cowgirls were awarded a berth in the NCAA Women's Soccer Championship for the third time in the last four years and the ninth time in the last 11 seasons. The NCAA appearance was the 11th in program history.
• OSU captured the sixth Big 12 Conference championship in program history as it claimed the regular season crown with an 8-1-0 showing in league play. It was the third time the Cowgirls have won a regular season title (2008 & 2011).
• OSU's eight conference wins tied a program record previously set in 2006 and 2010.
• The Cowgirls finished with a 9-0-1 record on their home field. It marked the sixth time in program history they have gone undefeated at home.
• OSU was ranked in the national polls for the final 13 weeks of the season and ended the year as high as No. 17 in the TopDrawerSoccer.com poll.
• Junior forward Haley Woodard became the fourth All-American in Cowgirl Soccer history and first since 2012 when she was named to the United Soccer Coaches All-America Third Team.
• Haley Woodard was named the 2017 Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year. She became the second-straight Cowgirl to win the award (Courtney Dike in 2016) and the third in program history (Yolanda Odenyo in 2008).
• Forward Haley Woodard and midfielder Anna Beffer were named to the All-Big 12 First Team, giving OSU multiple first-team selections for the first time since 2011 and the fifth time in program history.
• Laurene Tresfield was named to the All-Big 12 Second Team as a defender.
• Defender Kim Rodriguez and midfielder Camy Huddleston were named to the Big 12 All-Freshman Team.
• Colin Carmichael was named the 2017 Big 12 Coach of the Year, marking the fifth time in his career he has achieved that honor.
• Senior midfielder Anna Beffer and junior forward Haley Woodard were named to the United Soccer Coaches All-South Region First Team, while senior defender Laurene Tresfield earned a spot on the United Soccer Coaches All-South Region Third Team.
• Haley Woodard was named to the TopDrawerSoccer.com Postseason Women's National Top 100, coming in at No. 62 in the rankings.
• The OSU coaching staff — Colin Carmichael, Justin Elkington, Karen Hancock, Michael O'Hare and Mallory Fowlkes — was named the 2017 United Soccer Coaches South Region Staff of the Year.
• OSU led the Big 12 in goals (45) and points (127) and ranked second in assists (37).
• Anna Beffer ranked second in the NCAA in assists with 13. The total was the third highest in a single season in OSU history.
• Beffer finished her career with 22 assists, which ranks fifth on OSU's all-time list.
• Michela Ongaro finished her career ranked among OSU's best goalkeepers statistically:

                 * Goals Against Average – 6rd with 1.15

For a second consecutive year, OSU had 13 Academic All-Big 12 First Team honorees, a list that included Anna Beffer, Tanya de Souza, Lana Duke, Claire Gantzer, Elise Hawn, Jaci Jones, Julia Lenhardt, Amy Nguyen, Michael Ongaro, Allie Rivers, Kirsten Siragusa, Coumba Sow and Laurene Tresfield. Named to the Academic All-Big 12 Second Team were Holly Brehmer and Haley Woodard.
