Pair Of Cowgirls Selected For Scholar All-Region Team

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Two Oklahoma State student-athletes, Anna Beffer and Laurene Tresfield, were named to the 2017 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I Women's Scholar All-West Region Team, it was announced today.

The seniors were each named to the Scholar All-West Region First Team, with Tresfield earning a spot at defender and Beffer as a forward.

Beffer capped her career by finishing second in the NCAA in 2017 with 13 assists, and the three-time Academic All-Big 12 First Team honoree owns a 3.76 GPA while double majoring in finance and sports management. Along with her career-high assist total, the All-Big 12 First Team performer notched four goals to finish fourth in the Big 12 Conference with 21 points.

Carrying a 3.75 GPA in university studies/education, Tresfield was named to the All-Big 12 Second Team this season while also collecting Academic All-Big 12 First Team honors for the third time in her career. The Paris, France native started all 23 of OSU's matches and led the team in minutes played while tallying two goals and an assist from her center back spot and anchoring a defense that recorded nine shutouts.

Beffer and Tresfield helped lead OSU to a 16-4-3 record that included a Big 12 championship and an appearance in the second round of the NCAA Women's Soccer Championship.
