Former Cowboys Earn Web.com Status

CHANDLER, Ariz. – Four former members of the Oklahoma State golf team earned Web.com Tour status this past weekend at the Final Stage of the Tour's Qualifying Tournament at Whirlwind Golf Club's Cattail and Devil's Claw courses.
Edward Loar tied for 30th place, moving up 17 spots during the final round after carding a second consecutive 66 to finish at 15-under 289. With his finish, he is guaranteed entry into the first eight events of the regular season.
Kevin Dougherty came in a stroke back at 14-under 289 to tie for 42nd place. His total included a 63 during the third round. Like Loar, Dougherty is also guaranteed entry into the season's first eight events.
Former Cowboy All-Americans Chris Tidland and Jordan Niebrugge received conditional status for the upcoming season. Niebrugge's closing 67 gave him a 7-under total of 281, tying him for 99th place. Tidland closed with a 66 to finish at 4-under 284 and tied for 12st place.
