KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Top-seeded Oklahoma State had its winning streak snapped Friday in the semifinals of the Big 12 Soccer Championship as the Cowgirls dropped a 3-0 decision to fifth-seeded Baylor at Swope Soccer Village.

OSU entered the match having won six matches in a row but was shut out for only the third time this season as the No. 9 Cowgirls fell to 16-3-2 on the year.

Baylor (12-5-2) finished with a 23-5 advantage in shots while also owning a 5-3 edge on corner kicks.

OSU fell behind just over nine minutes into the match when Aline De Lima dribbled through the Cowgirl defense and delivered a 19-yard shot past Michela Ongaro, who finished with four saves in the contest.

Seconds later, the Cowgirls nearly recorded the equalizer, but an attempt by Jaci Jones inside the box was deflected by charging BU goalie Jennifer Wandt.

Another save by Wandt would thwart a shot on frame by Kim Rodriguez in the 22^nd minute as she dove to her left to knock away a blast from the top of the 18-yard box.

The Cowgirls could not get much going offensively against BU in the final half as they worked to get the equalizer, and in the 76^th minute, the Bears doubled their lead when Ariel Leach took a pass from De Lima and buried a shot far post from the top of the 18.

BU added another late goal from De Lima with just over a minute remaining to cap the win.

OSU now awaits its NCAA Women's Championship fate, with the Cowgirls expected to earn a second consecutive NCAA tourney berth and fourth in the last five years when the 64-team field is announced Monday at 3:30 p.m.
