November 26, 2017 | Cowboy Football
STILLWATER – The Oklahoma State football team continued to be a fixture of the national rankings at the end of the regular season, as the Cowboys came in at No. 18 in both the Associated Press Top 25 and the USA Today Amway Coaches Poll.
Oklahoma State (9-3; 6-3 Big 12) has now been ranked in the top 20 of at least one of the national polls for 20 consecutive weeks, dating back to Oct. 31, 2016.
The Cowboys are coming off an impressive 58-17 victory over Kansas Saturday at Boone Pickens Stadium. OSU's victory secured the Cowboys' third consecutive top-three finish in the Big 12 Conference.
The Pokes are joined in the rankings this week by Oklahoma (No. 2/2) and TCU (No. 10/12). Those three teams occupy the top three spots in the conference at the end of the regular season.
Oklahoma State will now await the announcement of its bowl-game site and opponent. This year will mark the Cowboys' 12th-straight season playing in a bowl game, which is the longest streak in team history.
