Student-Athletes Named OSU Seniors of Significance

STILLWATER – Four student-athletes as well as a spirit squad member are among the 48 recipients of the Oklahoma State University Alumni Association's Seniors of Significance for the 2017-18 academic year.
Three members of the Cowgirl track and field team — Stephanie Ferrante, Emily Hart and Erin Hart — along with Cowgirl soccer's Lana Duke and OSU cheerleader Brya D'Abrosca were tabbed for this prestigious honor. Duke is the ninth OSU soccer player to be named a Senior of Significance, while eight women's track and field members have now achieved that status.
The four student-athletes named Seniors of Significance marks the most since 2013-14 when six student-athletes were honored.
The Seniors of Significance Award recognizes students who have excelled in scholarship, leadership and service to campus and community and have brought distinction to OSU. The 48 students represent the top one percent of the Class of 2018 including all six OSU undergraduate colleges. A public reception to recognize the winners and their families will be held Nov. 30 at 6 p.m. at the ConocoPhillips OSU Alumni Center.
