DURHAM, N.C. – Oklahoma State's season ended in the second round of the NCAA Women's Soccer Championship Friday night as top-seeded Duke handed the Cowgirls a 7-0 loss at Koskinen Stadium.

OSU finished its season with a 16-4-3 mark in a year that saw the Cowgirls celebrate the sixth Big 12 Conference championship in program history and advance past the opening round of the NCAA tourney for the first time since 2011. The 16 wins is the fifth most in a single season in program history, and OSU also tied a program record with eight conference victories.

Fueled by five first-half goals, Duke improved to 21-2-0, which includes a 13-0-0 mark on its home field, and advanced to face Texas in third-round action.

The Blue Devils controlled the match throughout, outshooting OSU by a 22-3 margin and owning a 5-0 edge on corner kicks.

OSU starting goalkeeper Michela Ongaro came up big early in the match after Duke was awarded a penalty kick in the 10^th minute following a foul in the box. Kayla McCoy stepped up for the attempt, but Ongaro dove to her right to knock the ball away for the save.

However, just 12 seconds later, the Blue Devils took the lead when Taylor Racioppi delivered a blast to the far post for her fourth goal of the season to put Duke up, 1-0.

Duke doubled its lead in the 25^th minute when Rebecca Quinn sent a ball through the box that a sliding McCoy kicked past Ongaro to give the home team a 2-0 advantage.

The Blue Devils continued to build a first-half lead, going up 3-0 on a goal by Quinn in the 29^th minute before tallying two more scores to lead by five at intermission.

Duke added goals in the 66^th and 74^th minutes to conclude the scoring.
